His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon consented  to watch the Polo Tournament in the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017, held at the Equestrian Park Putrajaya between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.

His Majesty was greeted on arrival at the Equestrian Park Putrajaya by Dato Badlishah Haji Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of the Putrajaya Leisure and Service Group and later watched the Polo Tournament between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. Brunei Darussalam Polo Team comprises of His Majesty's children, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen and Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah.

Also present to watch the tournament were His Majesty's brothers and daughter, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah, as Manager of the Polo Team and Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah. In the match, Brunei Darussalam Polo Team was defeated by the Malaysian Polo Team by Four - Twelve in Four Chukka. National Polo Team's next match will be against Thailand Team at the Royal Selangor Polo Club on this Thursday, 24th August.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this morning consented  to attend a Get-Together Ceremony with Brunei Darussalam Contingent taking part in the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017, held at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur.

His Majesty was greeted on arrival at the Royal Chulan Kuala Lumpur by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Chef de Mission of Brunei Darussalam's Contingent and General Manager of the Royal Chulan Kuala Lumpur.

Also in attendance at the Get-Together ceremony were His Majesty's brothers and children, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah, as Manager of the Polo Team; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; Her Royal Highness Princess `Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah, who is also participating in the Mixed Polo Event at the Southeast Asian Games and Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah as Manager of the Netball Team.

Soon after arrival, His Majesty was accorded for a group-photo session with Brunei Darussalam Contingent to the Southeast Asian Games and later was introduced to athletes of respective events.

Also accompanying His Majesty at the ceremony was His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Awang Mohd Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.

Brunei Darussalam contingent at the 29th Southeast Asian Games comprises of 172 people including 105 athletes and 67 officials.  In this games, Brunei Darussalam is participated in 14 events being competed and to date, has collected 1 silver and 5 bronze medals through sepak takraw, netball and wushu events with Sepak Takraw contributed 3 out of the 6 medals in the event.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to confer Brunei Darussalam's State Decorations to two hundred and two (202) recipients. The investiture ceremony was in conjunction with His Majesty's 71st Birthday and took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana of Istana Nurul Iman this afternoon.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik.

The ceremony began with the conferment of the Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Third Class - S.M.B. to 35 persons. The S.M.B recipients comprised of Government and Private Sector officers. The conferment reflected His Majesty's appreciation to the contributions and services of each recipient in the various fields of national development.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam then conferred the The Most Eminent Order of Islam Brunei Fourth Class - S.U.B to 14 recipients.

His Majesty then conferred the Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei Fourth Class, PSB to 144 people. Apart from Government servants, the recipients were also from the private sector. The conferments of the State Decorations were meant to motivate the recipients to continue their good contributions and services to the government and the country.

His Majesty also conferred The Most Eminent Order of Islam Brunei Fifth Class, P-U-B to 9 recipients.

Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of State Councils, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri, Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Government Departments.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, consented to send a message of congratulations to His Excellency Dato Laila Utama Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Government and people of the Republic, on the occasion of their Anniversary of the 72nd Independence Day.

In the message to His Excellency Dato Laila Utama Joko Widodo, His Majesty expressed his great satisfaction for the friendly ties and warm cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia at the bilateral and regional level as well as international affairs. Furthermore, as a close neighbour, His Majesty is also confident that both countries will continue to work together in enhancing this close cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries and their people. In ending the message, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha prayed that Allah Subahahu Wata'ala bless His Excellency, Datin Ibu Hajah Iriana and family, as well as the people of Indonesia for continued peace, progress and prosperity.

In conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne which will be held this year, the Committee for Media, Publicity, Exhibitions and Printing would like to inform the public that the official Website, Mobile App and Social Media accounts including the official Hashtag for the Golden Jubilee Celebration may be accessed as of today, Wednesday, 16th August 2017.

The establishment of the Website and Mobile App is aimed at providing information including the latest news on the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The Website and Mobile App also contains information such as the Calendar of Events, posters and publications in relation to the Golden Jubilee. The information will be updated from time to time.

In addition to the informative contents, the Website and Mobile App will also provide an interactive platform that enables members of the public to convey their greetings online in relation to the Golden Jubilee Celebration. The public will also be able to watch live broadcast events through 'Live Streaming' on the Website and Mobile App.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam last night consented to grace the Royal Wedding Ceremony of Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Sultan Ibrahim and Dennis Muhammad Abdullah held at the Balai Singgahsana as well as the Banquet Ceremony held at Dewan Santapan, Istana Besar Johor Bahru. Accompanying Their Majesties at the said functions were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.

The arrival of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri and members of the Royal family at Istana Besar Johor Bahru were greeted by His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Her Royal Highness Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, the Permaisuri of Johor.

The ceremony began with Istiadat Merenjis and Menepung Tawar. Prior to the ceremony, Doa Selamat was read by Mufti Johor Darul Ta'zim, Yang Berhormat Sahibus Samahah Dato Haji Tahrir bin Dato Kiyai Shamsuddin. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri was invited to start The Istiadat Merenjis and Menepung Tawar then followed by the parents of the Royal couple and other members of the Royal Family.

The Istiadat Merenjis and Menepung Tawar for the Royal Couple was followed by the Royal Banquet held at the Dewan Santapan Istana Besar Johor. It began with the recital of Doa by the Mufti of Johor Darul Ta'zim. Before departing from Istana Besar Johor Bharu, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri consented to congratulate the Royal couple.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, Deputy Sultan, yesterday received in separate audiences the newly-appointed envoys to Brunei Darussalam. The newly- appointed envoys had presented their Letters of Credence to His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 10th of this month. The audience ceremony took place at Qashr Al-Meezan.

His Royal Highness first received His Excellency Richard Stephen Lindsay, High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency previously served as the Head of Security Policy Department at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

His Royal Highness then received His Excellency Motohiko Kato Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency formerly held the post of Envoy Extraordinary, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Japan in the United Kingdom.

Shortly after, His Royal Highness received His Excellency Peter Hermann Wolff, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency had served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Paraguay.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in a sabda underlined the importance of hard work and self confidence for students in order to achieve individual excellence, as they are the most valuable assets for continuous national development in the future. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, as the sponsor and Chairman of the PENGGERAK Steering Committee, yesterday made unscheduled visits to two schools in the Brunei Muara District. In the sabda, His Royal Highness also highlighted the major role of teachers to ensure that each student is given necessary support and guidance.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince first visited the Masin Secondary School. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Dayang Hajah Laila Kartika binti Mohammad Noor, the school's Deputy Principal.

His Royal Highness toured the school's vicinity, and observed several learning sessions in classes, where His Royal Highness himself listened to the teacher's teaching methods to improve the student's learning. Such a visit provided the opportunity for His Royal Highness to make direct observation on the school's daily routine as a continuation of His Royal Highness' efforts to ensure that all teaching and learning strategy is implemented consistently and effectively, and are making positive impacts to the student's learning.

His Royal Highness then chaired a dialogue session with the Deputy Principal and senior teachers on the school's development, particularly in the efforts to make the learning process of each student more effective. A short presentation was also held during the discussion on the School Progress Plan, covering improvement methods and strategies, as well as monitoring the implementation and development of the school's teaching and learning aspects.

His Royal Highness' visit represents the overall efforts of His Majesty's government through the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs pertaining to the primary and secondary level through several initiatives, such as preparing students for the Programme for International Student Assessment, PISA next year and the Literacy and Numeracy Guidance Programme. The overall aim is also to uphold the titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to improve the quality of education and teachers in the country towards the realisation of the Wawasan Brunei 20-35.

Currently, the Masin Secondary School has 995 students and 109 teachers. The school celebrated its 10th anniversary in June last year. Before the school's establishment, students were temporarily placed at the Sayyidina Hassan Secondary School. The Masin Secondary School was built on a 4.3 acre land under the 8th National Development Plan, costing over $14 million and took 20 months to be completed.

His Royal Highness then visited the Bengkurong Primary School. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Dayang Atikah Rumaizah binti Doctor Haji Harun, the school's Headmistress. His Royal Highness observed a number of lessons, and delivered a sabda to Year 6 students, reminding them to study diligently and to follow the advice of their teachers and parents.

His Royal Highness concluded the visit with a dialogue session with the Headmistress and senior teachers on the school's current initiatives which focused on enhancing the school's teaching and learning.

The construction of the Bengkurong Primary School began in 1960, and was completed a year later. Formerly known as Sekolah Melayu Bengkurong, the school initially had 25 pupils and 2 teachers. Now, the school has 194 students and 30 teachers.

Throughout the visit, His Royal Highness was accompanied by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education. Also present were Datin Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohammad Salleh, Permanent Secretary of Core Education, Ministry of Education, Dayang Nadia Lee Siew Hoon binti Abdullah, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Core Education, Ministry of Education as well as the ministry's senior officers.

In his congratulatory message to His Excellency Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore, His Majesty was delighted to accept His Excellency's invitation to visit Singapore, where it has given His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the special and unique ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and its people. Furthermore, His Majesty looked forward to continuing and deepening this close collaboration between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore in the years ahead.

Meanwhile, in a similar message to His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the kind reception and generous hospitality His Excellency and Madam Ho Ching have rendered to His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri during their State Visit to Singapore which reflect the close and long-standing relations enjoyed by the people at all levels and in many different areas. His Majesty looked forward to continue working with His Excellency to strengthen these much-valued and important ties, bilaterally and regionally, especially as Singapore assumes Chairmanship of ASEAN next year.

In ending the messages to His Excellency Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam and His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, His Majesty expressed his kindest regards and best wishes to Their Excellencies and families as well as for their continued good health and happiness.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah, has expressed optimism that it is crucial for ASEAN to fulfil its aims of being a people oriented and people centred Community as well as bring tangible benefits to them. His Majesty made the titah in a message in conjunction with ASEAN DAY 2017 which falls every 8th of August. In the titah, His Majesty stressed that, in celebrating this year's ASEAN Day, ASEAN commemorates a decision made 50 years ago to strengthen the bonds of regional solidarity and cooperation by establishing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to serve as a foundation for common action to promote regional cooperation.

His Majesty in the titah added that over the years, the monarch had personally witnessed ASEAN's significant contributions towards peace, progress and prosperity in the region. ASEAN, His Majesty said, has become a platform for cooperation and interaction between governments and peoples in the region as well as for ASEAN region to engage with the wider world.

His Majesty in the titah said in 1967, few people could have envisioned ASEAN's evolution from an association of states to a Community. Today, ASEAN is synonymous with Southeast Asia and is intertwined with ASEAN region's present as well as its future promise.

Looking towards the future, His Majesty, in the titah, believed that it is crucial for ASEAN to fulfil its aims of being a people oriented and people centered Community, and bring tangible benefits to them. To help achieve this, His Majesty stressed that ASEAN must continue to build regional solidarity and work to realise a Community that is cohesive, integrated and responsible.

In an increasingly interdependent world, His Majesty stated that it is also important for ASEAN to continue to be a reliable friend by further deepening cooperation with our many neighbours and partners.

His Majesty in the titah congratulates the Philippines on its chairmanship of ASEAN during this significant year. The Monarch also expresses Brunei Darussalam's support the theme of 'Partnering for Change, Engaging the World'.

In concluding the message, His Majesty expressed best wishes to everyone in ASEAN for a very happy ASEAN Day and congratulate all on the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.

Intending pilgrims should know the correct rules and ways of performing the Haj and must make preparations to achieve their intention of performing the Haj properly.  The matter was shared in a doa selamat ceremony for intending pilgrims from the Ministry of Finance and departments under it this year.  It took place at the Ministry of Finance.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Finance and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Hisham bin Haji Mohammad Hanifah, the Deputy Minister of Finance.  A talk on how to perform the Haj properly was delivered by Doctor Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, an invited speaker from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB.

Donations were also presented to the fourteen intending pilgrims from the ministry. The Ministry of Finance holds the function every year for intending pilgrims. It was also meant to foster closer relations among the officers and staff. This year's event was organised by Tabung Amanah Pekerja, TAP.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman last night attended the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Saint Andrew's School. The celebration was held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Mr Stephen Ong, The Chairman of Saint Andrew's School Board of Governors and other members Board of Governors.

Mr Stephen Ong in his welcoming speech share his gratitude to the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam particularly to the Ministry of Education for their steadfast support and guidance, in the running and development of Saint Andrew's School.

His Royal Highness had his primary education at Saint Andrew's School from 1979 until 1985. While, Her Royal Highness also attended the school from 1992 to 1998.

In the ceremony, one of the alumni representatives presented a speech of appreciation to receive education in Saint Andrew's School. The ceremony was graced with the dance and song performances by the students. The School's Vision is about Impacting and transforming lives, contributing positively to society. And their Mission is to promote quality holistic education with diverse learning opportunities for students to enable them to reach their full potential with pursuit of excellence.

Saint Andrew's School was established on January 1956, and started from humble beginnings with only 70 students, 3 teachers and a minute area of learning. At that time, the school could only cater for the lower learning classes to the highest being primary four.

Their Royal Highnesses also visited the Exhibition Booths.  In 1995, Saint Andrew's school has introduced computer studies to the students. Followed by a Mandarin Club in 2000. At present, Saint Andrew's School has fully grown to a fully equipped institution of learning which can accommodate up to 1,600 students. The school will continue its role in the country with a commitment to excellence in education for the school children in the country.

The establishment of the Competition Commission of Brunei Darussalam and the appointments of the Chairman and members of Commission are effective from 08 Zulkaedah 1438 Hijrah corresponding to 01st August 2017. The objective of the Competition Order 2015 is to promote and maintain fair and healthy competition to enhance market efficiency and consumer welfare in Brunei Darussalam. In line with this, the Competition Commission will oversee and act on competition matters as mandated in the Order. This includes adjudicating anti-competitive cases and imposing penalties on companies found to infringe the Competition Order 2015.

The Competition and Consumer Affairs Department is established under the Department of Economic Planning and Development, to serve the Competition Commission as their investigative and administrative arms. The Department is also responsible in carrying out functions such as advocacy, receiving complaints and conducting market reviews.

Before the enforcement of the Order, a transitional period will be introduced. The transitional period will phase in after advocacy work in familiarizing and developing a competition-aware culture in Negara Brunei Darussalam has been carried out.

The Competition Order 2015 will be enforced in phases starting with the prohibition of anti-competitive agreements and practices. This phased approach serves to give all parties sufficient time to prepare for the orderly enforcement of this Order.

The introduction of the Competition Order 2015 and the establishment of Competition Commission of Brunei Darussalam underscores the efforts of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam in achieving a sustainable economic growth in line with the economic goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035. It also signifies the commitment of Brunei's Government in fulfilment of the goals of the ASEAN Economic Community. The Competition Order 2015 is intended to address any competition-related concerns and maintain proper functioning of markets, provide certainty and enhance investors' confidence, as well as an important safety net that safeguards the interest of local business players and consumer welfare.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifudien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Alam, this afternoon received in separate audiences and junjung ziarah the country's intending haj pilgrims. The audiences took place yesterday at Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received junjung ziarah from the intending male haj pilgrims.

Also attending the ceremony was His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

This year, one thousand Brunei intending pilgrims will perform the fifth pillar of Islam. Out of the total, 477 are male intending haj pilgrims and 523 are female. The increasing number of the country's haj pilgrims this year is made possible after His Majesty's government and the Saudi Arabian government of agreed to increase the Brunei Darussalam haj quota.

His Majesty's government has authorised three companies to conduct haj management services this year, namely the Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad, Straits Central Agencies Brunei Sendirian Berhad and Raudah Al-Amin Sendirian Berhad. The Brunei intending pilgrims will depart for Medina in four flights. The first flight is scheduled to depart on the 10th of August, while the second flight will leave the next day and the third and fourth flights will leave on the 13th and 14th of August respectively.

At another part of the Istana, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received junjung ziarah from the female intending haj pilgrims. Also present was Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman.

Before departing for the holy land, the intending haj pilgrims have underwent 10 sessions of haj courses as preparation for them. The course is a requirement made by the Saudi Arabian Haj and Umrah Ministry that every country needs to equip intending pilgrims with knowledge on how to perform the Haj correctly.

As the fifth pillar of Islam, performing the haj is obligatory for every Muslim who is absolutely able financially, as well as in terms of health and fitness. In order to become the guest of Allah, intending pilgrims have to make big sacrifices not only in the aspect of material but also in leaving family members and relatives entirely in fulfilling the religious call to perform the haj.

His Royal Highness also recommended that the preparations be completed by the end of August. His Royal Highness made the sabda during the Fourth Meeting of the Executive Committee for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The meeting took place this morning at the Prime Minister's Office Building at Jalan Perdana Menteri.

Upon arrival, His Royal highness as the Patron of the celebration's Advisory Committee was greeted by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien as Member of the celebration's advisory committee.

The meeting began with the Doa Selamat read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal, Member of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Executive Committee.

The session continued with opening remarks by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness also shares the Titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam regarding matters arising from the 3rd Executive Committee Meeting among which are the duration of the Gendang Jaga-jaga Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne.

In the sabda His Royal Highness also highlights His Majesty's consent for the proposed dates of opening ceremonies and for the renaming of certain infrastructures. According to His Royal Highness, the main events of the Golden Jubilee Celebration must possess their own attractions that would galvanise the public and inspire them to engage and participate in the celebration, especially during the actual main events.

His Royal Highness also calls on the country's citizens and residents to maintain and portray good image during the celebration because the country will welcome the presence of specially invited guests as well as visitors from around the world. A good image is very important to give the visitors many pleasant memories and an experience of a lifetime. Also in today's meeting, the Executive Committee discussed preparations for the Celebration in the four districts.

Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Hisham bin Haji Mohammad Hanifah, Deputy Minister of Finance, as the Chairman of the Jerudong Park and Country Club; and Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Awang Haji Mohamad Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Deputy Minister of Finance.

His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel then launched the Jerudong Park Playground Phase 2 and then received Pasambah.

After that, Their Royal Highnesses took a Go-Po train over the bridge towards the Telekombat ride. Their Royal Highnesses also had the opportunity to go on several other rides. By introducing several new games, the playground is hoped to further attract visitors in the country's effort to become a tourist destination. Jerudong Park Playground now boasts over 30 rides and attractions making it one of the largest in Borneo. The Playground is now open to the public with a price ticket of Fifteen dollars for adults and Eight dollars for children.

In the large Canopy area i front of the Kids Adventure Playground, 35 National Service Programme recruits took part in self-defence performances. Jerudong Park Playground was built in 1994 in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 48th Birthday.

More than a thousand people participated in the ceremony to express the gratitude of the country's citizens and residents to Allah the Almighty for blessing the country with peace and prosperity under His Majesty's wise and dynamic leadership.

Upon arrival, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee For His Majesty's 71st Birthday Celebration as well as the Co-Advisors, Co-Chairpersons and members of the 71 Times Khatam Al-Quran Executive Committee and their wives.

The mass reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. The 71 Times Khatam Al-Quran By Members of the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils and The Country's School Students was also intended to seek Allah the Almighty's blessing for His Majesty's long life, health and continued reign as the ruler of Brunei Darussalam with enlightenment and guidance from Allah the Most Sublime.

The mass reading of Al-Quran by the participants that began from Surah Adh-Dhuhaa to Surah Al-Masad was a birthday gift to His Majesty in the form of supplications and the blessings of Al-Quran from the people of Brunei Darussalam. It is an expression of their strong and undivided love, loyalty and support for their very loving and caring Monarch. The reading of the Surah Khatam or Khatam Al-Quran Verses was led by Awangku Md 'Ashim 'Afif Bin Pengiran Haji Md Zin, a student of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.

One thousand, seven hundred and eight people, of whom 854 were males and another 854 more were females participated in the event.

The Khatam al-Quran readers were members of Mukim and Village Consultative Councils from the country's four districts in the Men and Women Adult Category for 21 year olds and above, Youths from 13 years to 20 years old who represented Mukim and villages, including students of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute, Arabic Schools and the Youth Al-Quran Reading Scheme. The 71 Times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was a blessed practice performed with sincerity and devotion that gave added value to His Majesty's 71st Birthday celebration.

The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony also involved boys and girls aged 12 years old and below who represented Arabic schools, Religious schools and the Khatam Al-Quran Scheme for children below 10 years old and students under the Ministry of Education who have completed reading the 30 Chapters of Al-Quran. Each participant selected for the event started the simultaneous reading of Al-Quran for the ceremony last April.

The Takhtim was read by officers and female religious teachers from the Islamic Studies Department. Meanwhile, the Tahlil was read by officers and Imam or prayer leaders from the Mosque Affairs Department.

The Doa Khatam was read by a participant, Awangku Muhammad Ashim Afif Bin Pengiran Haji Md Zin. The Dikir Marhaban was performed by 71 Mosque Officers from the Mosque Affairs Department and 71 officers and female religious teachers from the Islamic Studies Department.

Meanwhile, the Doa Selamat was read by the State Mufti.

His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received the junjung ziarah from the male Khatam-Al-Quran ceremony participants while Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received the junjung ziarah from the female participants. His Roiyal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah also received the junjung ziarah from the participants.

Since the inaugural Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty's birthday celebration in 2011, the event has became a motivator and booster for the continuation of the blessed ceremony with participation by adults, youths and children.

The ceremony was the climax of events that showed the closeness of the country's people to Al-Quran Al-Karim and the closeness of the Monarch and the people of Brunei Darussalam. Apart from that, the event also intended to instill and nurture the culture of Al-Quran reading as well as the practice of its teachings as a way of life to invoke blessings and rewards from Allah the Almighty. The blessings and rewards one gains from reading Al-Quran, the participation of the grassroots people, including students are the fruition and manifestation of the people's strong loyalty to the Monarch, religion and the country.

The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was a doa or supplication to Allah the Almighty. May Allah the Creator strengthen His Majesty's reign, in ruling and leading the country towards greater success. It also supported His Majesty's aspiration and vision to transform Brunei Darussalam into a zikir and Al-Quran literate nation.

The blessed ceremony reflected His Majesty's dynamic leadership in continuously reminding the people to always seek the guidance of Al-Quran and the Hadith or traditions of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam in all their plans and actions for the development of the country.

The match ended with DPMM FC - 0, Geylang International FC, one. In the 81st minute, Geylang finally scored their goal through Shahfiq Ghani. His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddien Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, paid the last respects to Allahyarham Pengiran Anak Haji Ismail ibni Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Muda Haji Hashim. Allahyarham passed away at about 2 pm yesterday at his residence in Kampong Jerudong, at the age of 81 years old.

His Majesty also joined in the mass prayer for the departed led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. In recognition of Allahyarham's great service to the country and government, His Majesty had consented to bestow State Decoration and Medal to Allahyarham, including Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia Third Class, S.M.B and the Pingat Omar Ali Saifuddien, P.O.A.S. Allahyarham is survived by a wife, 6 children and 21 grandchildren. Allahyarham was laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum.

Hundreds of students waved the miniature National Flag along the road leading to Padang Bandaran as they welcomed His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Celebration.

Awang Haji Haris bin Othman, the Belait District Office as the representative of Belait District's citizens and residents, in his welcoming address among other things expressed undivided loyalty and gratitude towards His Majesty for the Monarch's presence at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony in the said district.

871 participants took part in the special performance carrying the theme 'Raja Bijaksana, Wawasan Negara Perkasa'. The performers comprised of students from primary and secondary schools, colleges and higher institutions, as well as the private sector, youths, ethnic groups and communities in the Belait District.

The theme was translated in the form of colourful performances on how fortunate Brunei Darussalam is to have a wise Monarch. His Majesty's wisdom is visible with the vision to make the country as a Malay Islamic Monarchy nation, apart from making Brunei Darussalam a Zikir Nation and known throughout the world with its highly educated citizens and sustainable economy in 2035.

The participant's collaboration further enlivened the atmosphere during the final performance with the 'Selamat Hari Keputeraan' song as balloons were released up into the air.

The historic moment was eternalised with a group photo session with His Majesty and members of the Royal Family as well as the participants who enlivened the special performance.

The harmony portrayed in the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony has instilled the spirit of togetherness, strengthen the society's solidarity and uphold the Wawasan Brunei 2035.

Today's Get Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony accomplished its mission as one of the strongest links between the Monarch and the people. As in the Tutong and Temburong districts, the very close, casual, and warm encounter between the Ruler and the citizens and residents living in the Belait District was the clearest evidence of the harmony among the diverse communities who welcomed His Majesty this morning.

The golden opportunity of greeting the Monarch and wishing His Majesty a very happy birthday was a special moment that the people will always cherish. Accompanying His Majesty were,

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office,
His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah,

Belait is the country's biggest district in terms of size. It has more than 80 thousand people living in 8 mukims, with Mukim Kuala Belait having the biggest population of more 36 thousand.

Also grabbing the much cherished opportunity to greet and meet His Majesty were senior citizens and persons with special abilities from Pusat Ehsan, Smarters association, Pusat Bahagia Eric Goh and the Association of Disabled Children, KACA. The wellbeing and welfare of these groups are top priorities of His Majestyt's government towards building an inclusive community that unites them with the mainstream community.

Belait is the country's main oil and gas producing district. Revenues for the oil and gas industry are the main generator of the country's development and the top quality of the people's life.

Personnel of the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force in Lumut and the Gurkha Reserve Unit in Seria also greeted His Majesty in the Junjung Ziarah ceremony. The security forces play a very big role in protecting and maintaining the country's peace and security.

The participation and involvement of all the communities in the district reflect the people's harmony, unity and close cooperation in supporting and upholding their loving and caring Monarch.

The Get Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony ended with a Luncheon at the Dewan Santap near the official residence of the Belait District Officer. During the luncheon, His Majesty consented to cut the birthday cake and received a Pasambah.

Doa selamat was read by Awang Haji Kaharuddin bin Haji Ali, the Belait District Shari'ah Subordinate Court Judge.

Before leaving the ceremony, His Majesty received in the Junjung Ziarah, members of the Executive Committee of His Majesty's 71st Birthday Celebration in the Belait District. His Majesty wise leadership that is based on the Islamic Malay Monarchy has brought much progress and development to the country, especially in areas such religion, education, health, communications and social not only in the towns but also in the suburban and rural areas.

Although the month of Syawal is now in the final week, Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations continue to be held by various parties. Last night, 140 members of the Brunei-Singapore Government Hostel alumni, AKBS, held an Aidilfitri Get-together ceremony. The aim of the ceremony was to give the alumni the chance to get-together and enhance relations, apart from celebrating the 50th anniversary of the sending of the group of the 1967 to Singapore and their arrival in the republic.

At the ceremony, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office was present. Also attending, were His Excellency Lim Hong Huai, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Putera Maharaja Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Ghani bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Dewa Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Rahim, Member of the Legislative Council.

Today was a day of joy, cheer, and excitement for the people of Temburong when His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam arrived for the Get Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents living in the district.  Temburong District was the second to host such a ceremony this year in conjunction with His Majesty's 71st Birthday celebration.  The personal and interactive meeting between the Monarch and the people took place this morning at the Civic Centre Complex Padang in Bangar Town. The route leading to the padang was abuzz and one could feel a sense of enchantment just looking at the school children waving the miniature National flags, welcoming their beloved ruler.

His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Celebration. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

The padang then echoed with the cheers of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik' from Temburong's Mukim and Village Penghulu, Kampung and Longhouse Chiefs, the Heads of Office Branches, Committee members and communities.

In his welcoming address, Awang Mohammad Amir Hairil bin Haji Mahmud, the Temburong District Officer representing citizens and residents living in the district, expressed undivided loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty for His Majesty's presence at the ceremony.  The District Officer said it was a priceless opportunity for them to personally meet and thank His Majesty for all the country's developments and progress during His Majesty's dynamic and caring leadership.  By the Grace of Allah, all these will ensure the people's prosperity and security, added the District Officer.

Nearly five hundred people participated in the special performance carrying the theme, 'Raja Berwawasan, Negara Terpimpin'.  The performers were primary, secondary and Arabic school students, government officers and staff, as well as members of uniformed organisations, associations, voluntary bodies, and Mukim and village consultative councils.

The solidarity and cooperation of five Mukims in Temburong District were transformed into enthralling and colourful performances that translated the people's loyalty and steadfastness in supporting the country's continued development and progress.

Disciplined and energetic youths enthralled and enchanted the audience with precise movements depicting their resilience and devotion in upholding the Sovereignty of the Monarch and the country.  Their performance was in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035 to prepare youth in an education oriented and more competitive world.

His Majesty's wise leadership continues to bring the nation to greater heights of unity, prosperity, security and glory that people in the country and foreigners alike would talk about in the years to come. Once again the cheers Of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patek' filled the air, signalling the end of the performances.  When His Majesty walked into their midst and spoke to them, the participants were excited, happy and satisfied, knowing their performances and hard work were well and deeply appreciated by their very beloved Monarch and leader.

Tutong was the first district in the series of visits by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents in conjunction with His Majesty's 71st birthday celebration.

Since early morning, thousands of citizens and residents in the Tutong District gathered at the Tutong Civic Centre Complex Field to together enliven the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony. The waving of miniature flags and beating of the hadrah by students enlivened the atmosphere along the thoroughfare towards the Civic Centre.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Celebration.

Three cheers of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik' were led by the mukim penghulus and village chiefs as well as heads of longhouses in the Tutong District.

Awang Shamsul Bahrin Bin Haji Mohammad Hussain, the Tutong District Officer as the representative of the Tutong District citizens and residents in his welcoming speech, among other matters gave thanks for the presence of the monarch at the get-together and junjung ziarah ceremony in the district on this auspicious day.

"Raja Bijaksana, Negara Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera", or "A Wise Leader, A Prosperous Nation and Harmonious Citizens" was the theme for this year's Special Performance. The colourful showcase involved the participation of 471 individuals comprising Tutong District's secondary and primary school students, various levels of the community, the mukim and Village Consultative Councils, Youths and Volunteers of the district. By combining dances, rhythmic movements and songs, the performance among other things gave a physical expression of the Leadership, Characteristic and Integrity of a wise monarch in ensuring the country's prosperity and people's well-being based on the nation's Malay Islamic Monarchy concept.

The artistic performance entitled 'Kami, Kanak-Kanak Berjiwa Besar' or We, Children with Huge Hearts, portrayed the world of children who are loyal to the monarch and religion, with high ambitions, respect to the parents and teachers, huge hearts and excellence as well as always resolving to realise the monarch and country's wawasan or vision.

The Gerak Belia Perkasa performance was a showcase of rhythmic movements by a group of youths exhibiting the activeness and leadership of youths in all sectors of nation development as well as having a strong teamwork spirit, able to spark a transformation towards a progressive and respected country.

The dance performance entitled 'Gema Perpaduan Rakyat', showcased the unity of the citizens and residents of Tutong District in together realising the main objective of Wawasan Brunei 2035. The performance portrayed the directive of the country's development which always preserves the heritage and culture in all aspects of development to maintain people's solidarity as the main component towards a progressive nation.

The highlight of the performance is the collaboration of participants expressing their loyalty and thanks for the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam. His Majesty's presence is a strong evidence of the unity among the citizens and residents of the country in general and the Tutong District specifically, who live in peace and harmony under the leadership of a people's monarch.

The get-together ceremony with the people is a unique platform to further strengthen ties between the monarch and his subjects. Hence, the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents of Tutong District was welcomed with gratefulness by the people of the district.

The citizens and residents of Tutong District grabbed the opportunity to meet the beloved monarch and expressed their gratefulness for the development and progress achieved in the district. Eight thousand people comprising school students, civil servants, mukim, youth associations, vendors and banks, the Chinese Community, Children with Special needs, neighbourhood watch and Royal Brunei Armed Forces took part in the gathering.

Accompanying His Majesty at the junjung ziarah ceremony were, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

His Majesty frequently stresses on peace. According to His Majesty, the blessing of peace and tranquility is all. The monarch also emphasised for the citizens and residents to be grateful for Brunei Darussalam being able to enjoy peace and tranquility, whereas in this era, it is not easy for people to enjoy the blessings of peace and tranquility. Hence, the monarch urged his subjects to be resolved and seek the blessings of Allah the Almighty so that what has been bestowed will be everlasting.

Under His Majesty's reign, the country continues to rapidly progress and develop. Towards achieving Wawasan Brunei 2035, His Majesty places great emphasis on the need for progressive behaviour and thinking. All parties need to work hand in hand to achieve this noble desire either from the government, private sector and individuals as well as all citizens and residents in the country.

His Majesty and members of the royal family ended visit to the Tutong District with a luncheon at the Dewan Utama, Tutong District Civic Centre Complex. At the function, the monarch received a pasambah and cut the Royal birthday cake. Doa selamat was read by Pengiran Haji Sahril Azman bin Pengiran Haji Metusin, Tutong District Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.

Before leaving the ceremony, His Majesty received greetings and junjung ziarah from members of the Royal Birthday celebration executive committee in the Tutong District. His Majesty's birthday celebration that has been carried out in an organised manner, portrays the unity and strong solidarity that has long been built and maintained among the citizens and residents with a core of loyalty to the monarch and country.

The function took place at the Banquet Hall, the Prime Minister's Office.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness, the Chairman of the AMBD Board of Directors was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs as the Deputy Chairman of the AMBD Board of Directors, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Finance and Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Retired Colonel Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, the Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister's Office.

His Royal Highness also took a closer look at the AMBD huts which carried the theme of 'P. Ramlee' movies.His Royal Highness then presented souvenirs to eight former AMBD staff who retired between 2011 to 2017. His Royal Highness also presented prizes to the winners of the best huts or booths in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri gathering. Before departing, His Royal Highness received greetings and junjung ziarah from officers and staff of AMBD. Besides strengthening relations among the officers and staff of AMBD, the Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering can encourage harmonious working culture and solidarity among them.

The ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall of Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty in his titah often emphasizes on peace. According to His Majesty, peace and harmony are everything. In the Hari Raya Aidilfitri message, His Majesty urged people in the country to be grateful that Brunei Darussalam could enjoy continued peace and prosperity, while in this era, it is not easy for people to enjoy peace and tranquillity. Therefore, His Majesty called on the citizens and residents in the country to pray to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for their continued well-being and security they have been blessed with.

The peace and harmony have enabled the country to achieve various developments under His Majesty's wise leadership. Come October, exactly 50 years of His Majesty's reign, Brunei Darussalam will set another history when the nation celebrates the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's accession to the throne.

The Banquet was highlighted with a fireworks display at the compound of Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty and Her Majesty also consented to receive junjung ziarah and greetings from His Majesty's special quests.
