His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as the Chair of ASEAN for 2021 in a titah notes that this year's expo bears special significance as Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ASEAN China dialogue relations, and a key milestone for Brunei Darussalam as Brunei Darussalam commemorate the 30th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations with The People's Republic of China. His Majesty highlights the matter in a titah at the Opening Ceremony of the 18th CAEXPO in Nanning, People's Republic of China via video recording. Also invited to deliver speeches at the Opening Ceremony were Leaders from ASEAN Member States and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. 

In the titah, His Majesty underlines that despite the ongoing pandemic that has disrupted economic activities all over the world, the monarch is encouraged to note that ASEAN and China registered an increase in total merchandise trade in 2020, maintaining China's position as ASEAN's number one trading partner. This underscored the strong economic ties and business linkages that characterised the long-standing relationship between ASEAN and China. 

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in the titah says that 18 years since the introduction of the CAEXPO, the event continues to be an important platform for the promotion of trade, investment, tourism and further strengthening of economic ties between ASEAN and China. In ending the titah, His Majesty is confident that these events would continue to make China an attractive export destination for ASEAN products and help further boost trade relation and maintain China's position as one of ASEAN's top trading partner. 

The 18th CAEXPO will be held from the 10th to 13th September 2021. The theme of this year's Expo is "Advancing Quality Belt and Road Initiative, BRI Cooperation, Promoting Sustainable Development". CAEXPO has established an efficient and pragmatic exchange platform for China and ASEAN countries to carry out cooperation in specific areas centring on strategic development priorities through high-level conferences and forums. Over the past 17 years, more than 200 high-level forums and conferences have been held on the side-lines, covering many key areas in the development strategies of China and ASEAN countries.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, today officiated the opening of the 42nd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) hosted by the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam. The opening was held virtually via video conference.

During the opening, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam delivered a titah which, among others, highlighted AIPA and ASEAN’s stronger collaboration towards a more integrated and successful regional community.

In-line with the theme of the ASEAN Chair for the year 2021 “We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper”, His Majesty stated that ASEAN has continued to respond rapidly in providing care for its people, and preparing its community towards development.

His Majesty added that the 42nd AIPA General Assembly theme "Forging Parliamentary Cooperation in Digital lnclusion towards ASEAN Community 2025", reasserts AIPA’s commitment in building ASEAN as a leading digital community and economy bloc. Through AIPA, harmonising regulations as well as standardising policies and appropriate legislations across ASEAN can be promoted.

In that regard, His Majesty urged parliamentarians to uphold AIPA as the key organisation and platform that enhances multilateral cooperation, as well as to promote better understanding and widen cooperation with AIPA Observer countries to ensure peaceful, harmonious and prosperous communities in their respective regions.

His Majesty also stated that, during this difficult time, AIPA and ASEAN should continue to collectively address issues of common concern as well as regional and global challenges.

In the message, His Majesty stated that the long-standing existing friendship between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia continue to prosper through its bilateral relations in areas of mutual importance. His Majesty welcomes the opportunity to work closely with Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob to enhance these valued and important ties for the well-being and prosperity of its people. 

Furthermore, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha invites Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob and Datin Sri Muhaini binti Zainal Abidin to visit Brunei Darussalam at the earliest convenient date.

In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala would bless Yang Amat Berhormat  Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob and Datin Sri Muhaini binti Zainal Abidin and family with continuous good health and happiness and is always under His protection.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a message in conjunction with ASEAN Day said that ASEAN will continue to prepare for future challenges through collective and coordinated efforts with all partners. In the titah, His Majesty said that as 2021 marks the 54th year since the inception of ASEAN, the commemoration of ASEAN Day gives an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the Association and contemplate on how best to realise a politically cohesive, economically integrated, socially responsible, and truly people-oriented, people-centred ASEAN. ASEAN Day is celebrated every 8th of August.

His Majesty in the titah said that this is a special occasion for Brunei Darussalam, as Chair of ASEAN this year under the theme of "We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper", with focus on mitigating the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring that the ASEAN Community continues to prosper. 

While the pandemic continues to adversely affect the region, His Majesty in his titah added that ASEAN is working closely amongst its members and with external partners to advance the region's recovery by caring for the people including by securing vaccines, enabling safe travel ad restarting economic activities through innovative ways. 

During such challenging times, it is especially crucial that ASEAN Centrality and unity is upheld which serves the interest of all ASEAN Member States and their people so that no one is left behind. 

It is only through close cooperation and coordination that ASEAN will be able to resolve its problems, overcome challenges, succeed as a family as well as preserve and build on the significant economic progress and technological advancements it has gained over the years. 

Looking ahead, ASEAN will continue to prepare for future challenges through collective and coordinated efforts with all of our partners as the region builds resilience and safeguards the well-being and livelihoods of its people. 

In ending the titah, His Majesty gave his best wishes for a very happy ASEAN Day and continued encouragement to ASEAN in its pursuit of a bright future for the region and its people.

The climax of the national event was the presentation of National Youth Day Awards for the year 2020 and 2021, namely the Excellent Youth Awards, Youth Services Awards, Young Youth Leader Awards and Excellent Project Award For Youth. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presented the awards. This year the celebration focusses on digital technology, volunteerism, entrepreneurship and leadership and continues with the theme 'Future Ready Youth'.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of the 16th National Youth Day Celebration Executive Committee.

Also gracing the event were His Majesty's sons and brothers,
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;
His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;
His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; and
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. 

The event began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and 'Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. 

In his welcoming speech, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports highlighted on the National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020 to 2035 launched in December last year. 

Loyalty to Allah and the Monarch, Love for the Nation were the highlights of the 'Ikrar Belia' or Youth Pledge.  The reading was led by Awang Muhamamd Yusof bin Haji Abdul Majid, Special Duties Officer Grade 2, Ministry of Religious Affairs.  50 youths from various fields including a differently-abled youth were involved.

His Majesty then presented the National Youth Awards 2020 and 2021. 

The recipient of the Excellent Youth Award 2020 was presented to Awang Adi Salihin bin Roslan, national Wushu athlete who brought glory to the country when he won a gold medal in the SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines, as well as winning other events. Awang Adi Salihin received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000.  

The Youth Services Award 2020 was awarded to Awang Haji Abdul Mateen Bolkini bin Haji Ahmad, Deputy Executive Secretary General Brunei Youth Council for 2019 to 2020, Youth Leader of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town and founder of Tambang.bn. Awang Haji Abdul Mateen Bolkini received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000.  

Awang Haji Mohammad Loqman Al-Hakim bin Haji Hamdan received the Young Youth Leader Award 2020. The founder and leader of Al-Huffaz Management, this youth leader was the recipient of the Country Star of the year, ASEAN Business Award, ABA, 2020.  He received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000.  

The recipient of the Excellent Project Award for Youth 2020 was the Big BWN Project.  The Project Manager, Dayang Noorhafizah binti Haji Rashid was awarded the 'Commonwealth Points of Light' by Her Majesty Queen of Elizabeth Kedua. The project received a Trophy, Cerrtificate of Appreciation and the 'C-Grant', as well as $3,500.  

The recipient of Excellent Youth Award 2021 was Dayang Chong Chin Yee, Chief Executive Officer of Memori BN Enterprise and member of Kampung Bukit Udal Consultative Council from 2017 to 2021. Dayang Chong Chin Yee received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000.  

Awang Muhammad Syahmi bin Halimshah, Commissioner for Public Relations and Publication, Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association received the Youth Services Award 2021. Awang Muhammad Syahmi received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000.  

The Young Youth Leader Award 2021 was awarded to Dayang Kwan Pei Yun. Chairperson of Seeds Brunei, Vice Chair of Brunei Amateur Dramatic Society, and Education Officer at Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri. Dayang Kwan Pei Yun received a Trophy, Woven Cloth, Certificate of Appreciation and $3,000 for project development and building. 

The recipient of the Excellent Project Award for Youth 2021 was HIV Awareness Programme for Peers and Youth, H.A.P.PY. Started in 2008, the project impacted hugely on youth development, particularly in HIV AIDS awareness. The project received a Trophy, the 'C-Grant' incentive grant and $3,500. 

The National Youth Day Awards provide recognition and appreciation to youth's contributions and movements in the country.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's son, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim participated in the Under 14 Boys Singles Category. The championship was held in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 75th Birthday Celebration. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's daughter, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah. 

Upon arriving, His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness were greeted by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and His Excellency Heng Aik Yeow, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam. 

Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim went up against Muhammad Mirza Afif Syahmi bin Sofian. The match was won by Muhammad Mirza Afif Syahmi, 21-18, 21-16. 

The championship is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Brunei Muara District Office, Ministry of Home Affairs. A total of 8 categories are being competed in the championship.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced a function with Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF Veteran Officers. The function in conjunction with His Majesty's 75th birthday celebration took place yesterday morning at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong. 

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Retired Major General Pengiran Haji Ibnu Basith bin Pengiran Datu Penghulu Pengiran Haji Apong; and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Retired Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, Co-Advisors of the Ceremony's Executive Committee. 

His Majesty then received a pasambah, a replica of 'Serombong Lampung Minyak Tanah' or Oil Lamp Chimney made from 'Crystal' and decorated with gold plated silver coils and lapis lazuli gemstones. 

Doa Kesyukuran was read by Retired First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili. 

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Retired Major General Pengiran Haji Ibnu Basith in his welcoming address among others said that the veteran officers are also happy and grateful to see the RBAF's development and achievements. 

After the Luncheon, His Majesty mingled with the RBAF Veteran Officers. The ceremony is certainly a great moment for the RBAF veteran officers. 

This ceremony is the foremost and historic celebration to express gratitude and Appreciation for the Charity Bestowed and Undivided Loyalty to His Majesty.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced a Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in Belait District in conjunction with His Majesty's 75th birthday celebration.  The event took place yesterday morning at Padang Bandaran in Kuala Belait. Belait District was the final district to hold the ceremony. 

Hundreds of students lined up the route waving miniature Brunei Darussalam flags to welcome His Majesty. 

The beating of the hadrah and bunga manggar carried by primary and secondary school students enlivened the monarch's arrival. 

Upon arrival, the monarch was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty's 75th birthday. Also present were His Majesty's sons and brothers: 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

- His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah;
- and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. 

The special performance themed 'Raja Mahkota Negara' portrayed His Majesty's wisdom and integrity in making the nation more progressive, having a stable economy and ensuring the citizen's well-being. Over 400 participants comprising primary and secondary school students took part in the performance. 

The highlight of the special performance showcased Belait District's passionate and dynamic youth generation. 

The historic moment is even more meaningful when His Majesty mingled with the performance participants before proceeding to the meet with the citizens and residents of Belait District for the Get-Together Ceremony.

Although faced with the risk of COVID-19, frontliners sacrificed their time and energy to assist in curbing the spread of the pandemic in the country. 

The opportunity to mingle with His Majesty was also grabbed by the senior citizens. 

The participation of the society at all levels in Belait District clearly reflects the harmony, solidarity and close cooperation in support of the leadership of a caring and attentive monarch. 

Education continues to be given priority in order to produce a generation that is knowledgeable, skilled, disciplined, courteous and highly prudent. 

Personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Third Battalion in Lumut and the British Garrison Seria also took the opportunity to congratulate and give thanks to His Majesty. 

In line with its role, non-governmental organisations, NGOs and associations continue to be committed in upholding the country and people by providing additional support in activities directed to the community and others. 

The revenue from oil and gas has largely helped to further enhance the standard of living of the citizens and residents in the country.   

Private companies also play a vital role in various aspects, moreover in developing and expanding the country's economy. 

His Majesty and the other members of the royal family then proceeded to the luncheon at the Dewan Santap.

The presence of His Majesty at the Get-Together Ceremony, was very meaningful to the people. Throughout the Get-Together Ceremonies with the Citizens and Residents in the four districts, all levels of society grabbed the golden opportunity to meet with the monarch and express their gratitude and thanks to the monarch. This makes His Majesty's visit into a memory that is etched into history which symbolises the close and special ties between the monarch and the people.

The match took place at Jerudong Park Mini Stadium.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's brother, son and daughter, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah. In the match, DPMM FC won 2-NIL over Kasuka FC. DPMM FC led 1-NIL in the 15th minute through Hanif Farhan. DPMM FC's second goal was scored by its import player, Andrei Varankou, through a penalty kick. DPMM FC has now collected 18 points from 6 matches, while Kasuka FC is in 3rd place with 15 points.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday morning graced the Get-Together Ceremony with the Citizens and Residents of Brunei Muara District in conjunction with His Majesty's 75th birthday celebration. The ceremony took place at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in Bandar Seri Begawan. 

His Majesty's arrival was greeted with the proud waving of Brunei Darussalam miniature flags by school students lined up along the main road towards Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien. 

The beating of the hadrah enlivened the monarch's arrival. Upon arriving, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for the 75th Royal Birthday Celebration. 

Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons and brothers;
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

The performance was showcased by 200 participants, comprising youths, students from government and private primary and secondary schools as well as government and private agencies. 

The climax of the special performance expressed the people's thanks and gratitude for His Majesty's reign. 

Before departing to mingle with the citizens and residents of Brunei Muara District at the Get-Together Ceremony, His Majesty took a group photo and mingled with the performance participants.

The joyousness of the Get-Together Ceremony with the Citizens and Residents of Brunei Muara District can be felt when His Majesty visited the special tents. The close ties between the monarch and his subjects have made the ceremony a memorable one. Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and brothers: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. 

As in the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in the other districts, the Brunei Muara District also celebrated the ceremony in a harmonious atmosphere. Citizens and residents had begun gathering in the capital as early as 7 in the morning to meet the beloved monarch. 

The Transformation Products under One Village One Product or 1K1P were among the highlights. The lively atmosphere can be felt despite being conducted in the new normal. Civil servants, associations, chambers of commerce, financial institutions, non-governmental organisations and private sectors were among the attendees at the get-together ceremony. 

The public also took the opportunity to capture memorable and meaningful moments with the beloved monarch. The presence of His Majesty at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents is a historic moment that will not be forgotten by the residents. 

For students studying abroad, the ceremony is an opportunity for them to express their thanks and gratefulness to the caring monarch. The presence of the Chinese Community proves their solid support of His Majesty's leadership. Such an opportunity will remain as a tradition symbolising the closeness between the monarch and his subjects. 

His Majesty and the Royal Family then proceeded to the Dewan Persantapan Lapau for a luncheon. Doa selamat was read by Awang Haji Sahrin bin Haji Kadih, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge. 

His Majesty's presence reflects the monarch's openness and warm-heartedness to his subjects. His Majesty is an exemplary leader who focuses on the people's welfare.

Organised for the first time by the Royal Brunei Polo Association, the Horse Riding recreation started at 'Jerudong Park Polo and Riding Club' and ended at 'The Empire Brunei'. 

Upon arriving, His Majesty as the Royal Patron of the Royal Brunei Polo Association was greeted by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Sanggamara DiRaja Retired Major General Pengiran Haji Ibnu Basith bin Pengiran Datu Penghulu Pengiran Haji Apong, Chairman of the Royal Brunei Polo Association. 

His Majesty was then introduced to the veteran polo players of the Royal Brunei Polo Association, who also joined the Horse Riding recreation.

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

His Majesty's Horse Riding hobby is also of interest to His Majesty's son and daughters. Founded in 1976, the Royal Brunei Polo Association now has over 50 members.

The Horse Riding Recreation also passed by the Jerudong Beach Market. Public who were in the market area, did not miss the opportunity to witness and record the memories of His Majesty's participation in the healthy activity.

With a beautiful view of Jerudong beach, the horse riding recreation also passed along the beach's coast.

The Horse Riding Recreation ended at The Empire Brunei.

His Majesty then proceeded to a Luncheon. Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons and brothers.

The Exercise specifically focuses on non-traditional security threats to evaluate military response and capabilities in conducting tactical and operational duties aside from focusing on 'Security, Stabilisation and Counter Insurgency, or in brief, COIN. Also in attendance was His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

Upon arriving at Bolkiah Garrison, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Udara Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the RBAF. His Majesty was then introduced to the Heads of the exercise's organising team. At the Joint Operations Centre's Briefing Room, His Majesty was briefed on the exercise operation by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd Kadir, RBAF Joint Force Commander. The exercise began last Monday involving several areas in the four districts including rivers and waters of Brunei. 

From Bolkiah Garrison, His Majesty then proceeded to Penanjong Garrison to witness the 'Urban Operation' Exercise at the 'Fighting in Built up Areas', FIBUA Village. Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Colonel Udara Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commandant of the Training Institute RBAF. 

His Majesty was greeted upon arrival at FIBUA Village by Colonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force. A briefing on the 'Urban Operation' Exercise was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Alimin bin Haji Subohi, Commanding Officer of Third Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force. 

The Exercise demonstrated the Royal Brunei Land Force, RBAF'S Special Force Regiment and British Forces Brunei's ability to conduct combined operations in a range of complex environments with a focus on military contributions in addressing non-traditional security threats. 

The exercise also provided comprehensive training to RBAF personnel through realistic contemporary scenarios. 

From Penanjong Garrison, His Majesty proceeded to the waters of Brunei to witness a maritime interdiction operation on board KDB Daruttaqwa. His Majesty was greeted upon arrival by Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. 

His Majesty witnessed a hostage rescue operation on a hijacked ship. The rescue team included, His majesty's son, His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen. 

After witnessing the hostage rescue operation, His Majesty proceeded to the Royal Brunei Navy Base. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. 

The Hikmat Bersatu Enam Exercise is hoped to further strengthen the RBAF's preparedness to uphold and carry out the responsibility of defending the country's peace, prosperity and sovereignty. 

His Majesty's presence for the Hikmat Bersatu Enam Exercise ended at the Royal Brunei Navy Officers Mess for a luncheon. Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen. 

The Hikmat Bersatu Enam Exercise aims to test and validate the RBAF's actions from the operational and tactical levels in more detail the implementation plan in response to various scenarios. 

The exercise which involves the Royal Brunei Police Force, the Gurkha Reserve Unit, and Second battalion of the Royal Gurkha Rifles ends this Saturday.

Students, waving miniature national flags, lined up along the route towards the Civic Centre Complex Field, Temburong to welcome His Majesty. 

The beating of the hadrah further enlivened the arrival of His Majesty. 

Upon arriving, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for the 75th Royal Birthday Celebration.

Although the community in the district are multi-racial, multi-ethnic and multi-religion, however, it does not prevent the citizens and residents from being united. The unity was clearly reflected during the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in Temburong District, yesterday morning.

The formation of the Temburong District Development Authority, AKDT, generates economic activities and improves the quality of life of the citizens and residents of the Green Jewel. 

Women's organisations in the country also play important roles in ensuring that the country develops well and is competitive. 

Islamic-based leadership and progress in the lives of the citizens clearly show His Majesty's leadership in strengthening the nation's civilisation. 

In the field of economy, the district continues to move forward with the production of 'One Village One Product'. 

The cooperation and strong support from various agencies in the District in hosting the get-together ceremony is a proof of the loyalty to the Monarch, remaining intact in the hearts of all walks of life. 

His Majesty and the royal family then proceeded to the Temburong District Civic Centre for a luncheon.

With a multi-racial community, Temburong District continues to enjoy rapid progress through various projects implemented. This, of course, can further improve the living standards of the citizens and residents in the District.
