His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, yesterday afternoon watched the Third Open and Masters Swimming Championship. The championship took place at International School Brunei, ISB in Jalan Utama Salambigar, Kampung Sungai Hanching.
Also present were His Royal Highness' sons and daughter, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman. In the championship, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim took part in the 50-metre Backstroke and 50-metre Freestyle categories. In the 50-metre Backstroke, Yang Teramat Mulia recorded 47.19 seconds, while for the 50-metre Freestyle, Yang Teramat Mulia recorded 36.57 second.
Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah also took part in the 50-metre Backstroke and 50-metres Freestyle categories. Yang Teramat Mulia made a new record of 51.55 seconds for 7 years old girl for 50-metre Freestyle and 55.41 seconds for the 50-metre Backstroke category. The championship was participated by more than 100 swimmers representing 9 local and abroad swimming clubs. The championship was organised by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association and supported by the Youth and Sports Department.
